Instrumentation Engineer

Job Description:

The Instrumentation Engineer shall be familiar with overall E&I departmental activities and shall be responsible for the role listed below in line with COMPANY’s project requirements:

Responsilbilities:

  • To coordinate/participate in (internal and client) plot plan and 3D model reviews.
  • Responsible for supervising, coordinating, advising rendering technical support to E&I Engineering Design group.
  • Preparing and Reviewing Specifications for control valves, flow elements like orifices meters, other flow instruments commonly used in industries in line with ISO requirements.
  • Preparing and Reviewing Specifications for field instrumentation ( LG / LT /PT/ PG/ DPT etc).
  • Preparing and Reviewing Specifications for pressure safety valves, rupture disc and process control systems
  • Preparing and Reviewing Specifications and design of HC Fire & gas or H2S detection system.
  • Design / Review and Detailed Engineering for Field Instrumentation & Control scheme (PLC, DCS, SCADA, ESD, F&G and Telecom) and Loop diagrams.
  • Review of hazardous areas classification drawings.
  • Preparation of man-hour estimate for proposal and detailed engineering.
  • To produce Project(s) execution philosophy, scope of work, reports, datasheets, Instrument Index and relevant material requisitions including Vendor drawings review and approval.
  • Assigns and participates in drawing production through interaction with a team of designers / draughtsman.
  • Shall be responsible for assist in conducting 3D model review internally and with client.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Total 5-7 years Working experience with Instrumentation engineering and design activities in Oil & Gas (Onshore /offshore) , Petrochemical or Process plants and preferably in the EPC or engineering organization.

  • Candidate shall have detail and sound detailed engineering judgment, shall be enthused by the opportunity to work with minimal supervision in office in Pune, India and abroad on Project specific locations.
  • Shall have Understanding of the fundamental process requirements and shall be able to co ordinate with other internal / external engineering disciplines. Candidate Shall have worked on project involving multidisciplinary environment.
  • The candidate should be quality-conscious, with a strong commitment to getting the job done right the first time.
