Piping Engineer
Engineer, LGE-PE-05.
Job Description:
The Piping Engineer shall be familiar with overall piping departmental activities and shall be responsible for the role listed below in line with COMPANY’s project requirements:
Responsilbilities:
- To coordinate/participate in (internal and client) plot plan and 3D model reviews.
- Responsible for supervising, coordinating, advising rendering technical support to Piping Engineering/Design group relating to Human Factor Engineering requirements and material handling philosophy ensuring all maintenance and operation activities will be carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
- Shall guide the piping team in development of Plot Plan and Equipment Layouts
- To produce Project(s) execution philosophy, scope of work, reports, datasheets, equipment list and relevant material requisitions including Vendor drawings review and approval.
- To initiate internal workshops, thru 3D Model reviews, during the course of Project(s) to ensure optimum performance is achieved as per the required Technical specifications, procedures and a cost effective integration of the handling philosophy.
- To establish volume and space reservation requirements for operation and maintenance of valves, monorails, equipment.
- Shall be familiar and shall have good understanding of stress analysis requirements on critical process piping
- Shall be familiar with Pipe ,Valve material specifications and Special items specifications
- Shall be responsible for assist in conducting 3D model review internally and with client.
Preferred Qualifications
- This is a specialist with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. A PG diploma in piping design will be an added advantage.
- Total 5-7 years Working experience in 3D Design environment in lead role (Smart plan Review, Naviswork, Review Reality etc) is essential for this position. Candidate shall have knowledge of piping layout, human factor engineering requirements and material handling design/engineering in oil/gas, petrochemical, chemical projects in detailed engineering. Exposure to design of offshore platforms will be an added advantage.
- Candidate shall have detail and sound detailed engineering judgment, shall be enthused by the opportunity to work with minimal supervision in office in Pune, India and abroad on Project specific locations.
- Shall have Understanding of the fundamental process and mechanical requirements and shall be able to co ordinate with other disciplines. Shall have worked on project involving multidisciplinary environment and shall also be familiar with UG facilities.
