Sr. Piping Designer
Designer, LGE-PE-06.
Job Description:
The Piping Designer shall be familiar with overall piping departmental activities and shall be responsible for the role listed below in line with COMPANY’s project requirements:
Responsilbilities:
- Preparing Piping route study layouts for safe and operable process units, modular skid units.
- Prepare 3D models of equipment, piping, preliminary structure modeling on software’s like PDMS 3D, CADWORKS, PDS etc. Knowledge of PDMS is must for desired candidate.
- Shall have detailed knowledge of drafting standards and practices in 2D like ACAD, Microstation.
- Shall be familiar with cost effective and optimized solutions to optimize fabrication cost.
- Shall be able to give innovative solutions to design, where space is a constraint
- Shall be familiar with international standards, project specifications, and general client’s specifications in oil and gas industries.
- Produce detailed drawings and deliverables for both proposal and project requirements.
- Shall be familiar and shall have good knowledge of stress analysis requirements for critical process piping.
- Shall be responsible for producing deliverable from 3D like plot plan, Equipment layouts, piping isometrics, GA drawings, piping loading data, special pipe support drawings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma in mechanical engineer with minimum 5 years of experience or ITI draftsman with minimum 8 yrs of experience.
- Candidate shall be reporting to piping department manager or lead engineer.
- Candidate shall have detail and sound engineering judgment, shall be enthused by the opportunity to work with minimal supervision in our office in Pune, India and abroad on Project specific locations.
- Shall have Understanding of the fundamental process and mechanical requirements and shall be able to conceptualize and translate ideas into design drawings and shall be Familiar with the requirements of Oil & Gas drawings, including normal symbology and the requirement for consistency.
- Experience in field engineering, brown field engineering project and offshore platforms will be an added advantage.
- The candidate shall be quality conscious and with the approach to do things right at first time.
